West of Manhattan
When looking for a sophisticated drink, this cocktail is perfect for any stage of the evening.
The West of Manhattan highlights the roasted malts and caramel complexity of Westland Flagship.
The Pacific Northwest produces some incredible ingredients, including pears (producing over 80% of pears for the US!). Taking the approach that what grows together, goes together this cocktail gives the Manhattan a twist by adding pear liqueur.
It is unusual to have a sweet profile, whist using a dry vermouth therefore the West of Manhattan as a sense of playfulness to a whiskey lovers’ favourite drink. The flamed orange zest adds a touch of theatre.
This drink is for your habitual Manhattan drinker, or those that prefer a drier whiskey drink. It is boozy, but aromatic, and sweet enough to go down easily for your general consumer.
